Fire resistant fabric

Fireproof fabric is constructed from unique fire-retardant materials which have the ability to withstand flames and heat. Many of these materials can be natural, such as wool and cotton; while others are synthetic or man-made fibres like polyester. These NEW-TEX materials have strong fibers that are woven together in such a way to create an extra thick and durable material than can save us.

The key to fire blanket in kitchen is in its construction fiber with spacing and the way it was looped. The small difference helps to generate an air pocket between the two. Air pockets become like a shield or barrier — they slow down the flames and prevent the heat from reaching our skin. It is almost as if there exists a protective layer between the fire and our self, A wall that serves us.

Clothing Designed with Fire Resistant Fabric

Perhaps you have heard of fire-resistant fabric, one good example is for clothes. This fabric is used to create the protective suits firefighters wear when they are at a fire, where there can be very high temperatures and blazing flames. And they insulate you from the incredibly high temperatures of a race or track day car fire. That’s super hot.

However, this special clothing is not only meant for firefighters alone. But there are others, factory workers and laboratory staff for example who work in places with open flames or dangerous chemicals. These workers must be provided with NEW-TEX fire-resistant clothing and gear to keep them safe while they are working. And while you might enjoy camping or cooking over a fire on your next outdoor adventure, wearing clothes that are resistant to flames can keep you from returning home with burn wounds and make time in the wilderness more fun.
